Founders Ahmet and Roraima Kanar, a married couple, established a company in 1986 with the goal of introducing high-end ladies' leather apparel to specialty boutiques in the USA. Leveraging our extensive experience as leather shop owners, specializing in leather and incorporating a touch of Mediterranean flair.

We made the strategic decision to establish our own factory in Miami, Florida. This enabled us to manufacture garments and showcase our collections through sales representatives and trade shows. Recognizing the limitations of domestic production capacity, we made the informed choice to open a second factory in Istanbul, Turkey, which we named INCI MODA, in honor of our mother. This expansion not only allowed us to continue creating collections for our own brands, NATTO and KANAR, but also provided us with the opportunity to produce collections for other high-end clients under their private labels. Presently, due to our age and the labor-intensive nature of our art to wear garments, which demand meticulous attention and efforts to maintain quality and timely deliveries, we have streamlined our business to exclusively serve a select clientele.
